The Pavilion Cottages

This is a last resort project to save
Sharon Springs' last resort.

Hidden away on an overgrown forested bluff that once overlooked the village and valley below, a block of five c.1882 stick-style townhouses known as the Pavilion Cottages represents the last surviving piece of the self-contained Pavilion Resort in downtown Sharon Springs. Like many other grand hotels in the village, they have been boarded up for decades. By the 2020s, the Cottages were collapsing.

With help from a friend, me and my husband Patrick bought the Cottages in 2023. Since then, we have been working to stabilize the building, uncover its history, and reopen the property to the outside world. In September of 2025 we successfully replaced the collapsing roof- a huge milestone.

This project is larger than us, and it will take more than us to get this done. We invite folks to get involved as we continue stabilization efforts and craft a long term stewardship model.
